During my 14-year tenure at IBM, I held various leadership roles, contributing to advancements in storage technology, consulting services, and project execution. My journey at IBM encompassed engineering, management, and executive positions, reflecting a trajectory of growth and increasing responsibility.

Engineering & Manufacturing Leadership (1996 – 2003)

Roles:

• Development Engineer, Disk Testing (1996 – 1997)
• Manager, IBM Disk Manufacturing (1997 – 2003)

I began my career at IBM as a Development Engineer in the Storage Disc Manufacturing Division, focusing on disk testing and quality assurance. Within a year, I was selected for IBM’s Management High Potential Program, which fast-tracked my leadership development. Soon after, I became Manager of Disk Manufacturing, where I led engineering and production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost efficiencies for IBM’s storage products.

Key Contributions:

• Led high-performance teams in IBM’s disk manufacturing division, improving production efficiency and product quality.
• Developed and implemented advanced testing procedures to enhance storage disc reliability.
• Recognized as a Management High Potential, receiving multiple internal leadership awards.

Project Executive, Technology Consulting Services (2003 – 2008)

Role:

• Project Executive, IoT & Smart Logistics Solutions (2003 – 2008)

In 2003, I transitioned into IBM’s Technology Consulting Services, taking on a global role as Project Executive for IoT-based smart logistics solutions. I was responsible for leading large-scale, multi-million-dollar initiatives, including the IBM Secure Trade Lane (STL) project with Maersk, where we developed a smart container tracking solutionintegrating IoT devices, software analytics, and cloud-based tracking systems.

Key Contributions:

• Led a Multi Million global IoT project with Maersk, delivering a real-time container tracking solution to improve supply chain visibility.
• Managed cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware developers, and logistics specialists, ensuring seamless solution delivery.
• Oversaw the development of telematics solutions, integrating smart sensors, RFID, and satellite tracking for end-to-end cargo monitoring.

Managing Consultant, IBM Global Business Services (2008 – 2010)

Role:

• Managing Consultant, Automotive & Enterprise Solutions (2008 – 2010)

In my final role at IBM, I joined IBM Global Business Services (GBS) as a Managing Consultant, working closely with leading European automotive companies to design fault-tolerant enterprise architectures and optimize central data management systems. I specialized in multi-processor failure-redundant HW-SW solutions, providing strategic recommendations to enhance reliability and performance in mission-critical applications.

Key Contributions:

• Advised top European automotive manufacturers on enterprise data management and fault-tolerant system architecture.
• Led strategic evaluations of Rich- and Thin-Client Server architectures for Daimler’s Vehicle Documentation System, improving scalability and efficiency.
• Provided technical oversight for large-scale system integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between enterprise applications and real-time data platforms.
